Almond tuiles are surely one of our favourite Chinese New Year treats. Made from lightly sweetened egg whites and almonds, you can snack on them without feeling weighed down. Not to mention that it doesn't take too much time and effort to whip up!
This is our take on the classic almond tuile. An indulgent and buttery salted egg yolk sauce is drizzled or brushed over the slightly sweet crisps, which brings together a delightful balance of sweet and savoury. The sauce sets slightly after it cools and adds a nice, delicate layer of umami goodness to the crisps!
Add in your own curry leaves and chilli padis for that added zing! This is a recipe you'll want to have in your repertoire.
