Description

Wake up on Christmas morning to the smell of freshly baked bread. This bread kit is a babka recipe, which is a slightly sweeter, rich, yeasted dough, twisted and rolled with earl grey-infused dark chocolate that'll make this holiday a homey, warm and comforting one.

The swirls make these rings of bread perfect for adorning your holiday tabletops. This recipe makes 2x large loaves, enough to go around any party. Note: Delivery for Christmas kits will be made from 11-21 December, weekday evenings. Do pick a delivery date within this range on the delivery calendar before checking out.

Gift Packs*

One of the greatest joys of baking is sharing your handmade love with your family and friends. Share some bread with our lovely gift packs, and seal it with joy! Each pack measures 14cm x 14 cm.

Storage Information

For this kit: Store dry ingredients in their box in a cool, dark, and dry area. Recommended to store mini chocolate chips in the fridge if not baking within 5 days, to prevent melting. Store milk in the refrigerator and recommended to use within 7 days from delivery. Store butter in the freezer/fridge. Store baked bread in an airtight container in the fridge, best consumed within 3 days from baking. Reheating instructions included in recipe card. 

You do not have to bake your Bakestarters baking kit immediately upon delivery.

Just follow the guidelines below and you're good to go!

  • Dry ingredients (flour, sugar, salt, baking powder etc) can be kept in a cool, dry and dark area for 1-3 months.
  • Cold ingredients (milk, yogurt, butter etc) can be refrigerated in their packaging.

    To ensure optimum freshness, it is recommended to use chilled butter two weeks from delivery. Frozen butter can be kept for ~2 months before use.

    Milk, yogurt, and cream should be used within one week from delivery. They should not be frozen.

  • Shipping (Doorstep Delivery): Flat rate of S$4.50 in Singapore for orders under S$42.00.

  • Free shipping: For orders totalling S$42.00 & above.

  • Delivery date/time: We deliver every Wednesday and Friday, between 6.30 p.m. - 10.30 p.m. Select delivery date/time on the delivery calendar at the checkout page.

    For special delivery requests, please list them down under Notes when checking out.
