How cute are these swiss rolls?? During the development of the recipe, we contemplated going for a strawberry roll - a baby pink cake rolled with whipped cream. But, you guys have been requesting for more chocolate baking kits and here you are - something that's not only beautiful to look at, but also fun to make and more importantly, dee-licious. And, to come up with the perfect ratio of cream to cake, we bake tested these swiss rolls many many times. Brb while I sneak another slice from the fridge!

This baking kit makes you not only one, but two swiss rolls so you can share one, and keep one all to yourself. Making the cakes might be a little challenging as it requires you to whip up your egg whites, but fret not, the clear and detailed instructions and tips on our recipe card will guide you through your baking. Plus, our pastry chefs are always on standby to give you all the guidance you need!

These adorable logs are made with a tender chocolate sponge cake base and rolled with a fluffy, velvety chocolate whipped cream that's not heavy or cloying. For the cake design, a piping bag is provided for you - pipe polka dots, or get creative! Savour these rolls two ways - eat them chilled, or pop them in the freezer for a creamy treat reminiscent of ice-cream rolls. SO good.

    • Cold Ingredients (milk, butter, etc): Will be packed in insulated packaging with ice packs to keep them fresh. 

    • Dry Ingredients (flour, sugar, etc): Will be packed in airtight packs, in a Bakestarters box.

    Storage Information

    You do not have to bake your Bakestarters baking kit immediately upon delivery.

    Just follow the guidelines below and you're good to go!

    • Dry ingredients (flour, sugar, salt, baking powder etc) can be kept in a cool, dry and dark area for 1-3 months.
    • Cold ingredients (milk, yogurt, butter etc) can be refrigerated in their packaging.

      To ensure optimum freshness, it is recommended to use chilled butter two weeks from delivery. Frozen butter can be kept for ~2 months before use.

      Milk, yogurt, and cream should be used within one week from delivery. They should not be frozen.
