Pronounced as Dool-seh de Leh-che, Dulce de Leche is a popular confectionery in many Latin American countries. Golden brown in colour, it has a similar taste profile as caramel, and is made by heating condensed milk until it changes colour and consistency. It is used in a wide variety of sweets - to drizzle over cakes, ice cream, filled in cookies and more. The possibilities are endless!

Skip your morning coffee and go for these - chocolate cupcakes infused with coffee, filled with dulce de leche, topped with a simple creamy dulce whipped cream, and adorned with candied walnuts. The coffee in the cupcakes helps to balance the sweetness of the dulce, and the walnuts (so good we couldn't stop snacking on 'em) added the perfect crunch. Truly deli-cioo-so! 

And, no fret if you don't have a cupcake/muffin pan! This kit comes with free standing cupcake liners. Just fill 'em and place them on a baking tray to bake!

    • Cold Ingredients (milk, butter, etc): Will be packed in insulated packaging with ice packs to keep them fresh. 

    • Dry Ingredients (flour, sugar, etc): Will be packed in airtight packs, in a Bakestarters box.

    Storage Information

    You do not have to bake your Bakestarters baking kit immediately upon delivery.

    Just follow the guidelines below and you're good to go!

    • Dry ingredients (flour, sugar, salt, baking powder etc) can be kept in a cool, dry and dark area for 1-3 months.
    • Cold ingredients (milk, yogurt, butter etc) can be refrigerated in their packaging.

      To ensure optimum freshness, it is recommended to use chilled butter two weeks from delivery. Frozen butter can be kept for ~2 months before use.

      Milk, yogurt, and cream should be used within one week from delivery. They should not be frozen.
