We're taking tea-time pastries literal here - earl grey tea cakes layered with a creamy honey custard cream that perfectly complements the tea flavour in the light and spongy cakes. We then top it all off with a lightly whipped topping before decorating it with some silver dragees! We think you'll really enjoy making these (not as much as your family and friends will enjoy eating them, of course!).


First you bake up a light, fragrant earl grey sponge cake. Then you slice it up and brush the insides with a simple honey syrup for added moistness. Spread the insides with creamy honey custard and a light whipped cream, cover the top and voila, now's the time for you to get your creative juices flowing, and decorate the cakes to your heart's content! This kit comes with a piping tip and piping bag, and it's a great bake to work with for practicing and experimenting with piping and decorating cakes. See how we did it here!

    • Delivery date/time: We deliver every Wednesday and Friday, between 6.30 p.m. - 10.30 p.m. Select delivery date/time on the delivery calendar at the checkout page.

      For special delivery requests, please list them down under Notes when checking out.


    • Cold Ingredients (milk, butter, etc): Will be packed in insulated packaging with ice packs to keep them fresh. 

    • Dry Ingredients (flour, sugar, etc): Will be packed in airtight packs, in a Bakestarters box.

    Storage Information

    You do not have to bake your Bakestarters baking kit immediately upon delivery.

    Just follow the guidelines below and you're good to go!

    • Dry ingredients (flour, sugar, salt, baking powder etc) can be kept in a cool, dry and dark area for 1-3 months.
    • Cold ingredients (milk, yogurt, butter etc) can be refrigerated in their packaging.

      To ensure optimum freshness, it is recommended to use chilled butter two weeks from delivery. Frozen butter can be kept for ~2 months before use.

      Milk, yogurt, and cream should be used within one week from delivery. They should not be frozen.
