Bake something out of the ordinary to celebrate this Christmas season — soft pandan sponge cake, with a thin layer of slightly salted gula melaka buttercream, combined with a generous amount of delicious coconut filling, and finished with a crunchy gula melaka coconut crumble. Don't worry about this cake tasting too sweet — we struck a great balance between sweet and salty for this one!
The cake itself is really easy to make, and only requires an 8" square pan, although the other components (drip, crumble, frosting) require a bit more effort. The end result will be worth it!
