My family loved the 4 different types of flavours, especially the Floral Fusion!
Although it took me 6 hours of hard labour but it was worth the time to have it homemade.
Can’t wait for new flavours next year but please keep the floral fusion, it’s everyone’s favourite 💞
This is our third time using the bakestarter mooncake kit and it's just enough, as always! Though i think a more realistic portion of time to set aside is 4-5h (not inclusive of chilling), not the 2h mentioned on the recipe

Bought the mooncake starter kit for a few years already. Kids love making it together. Really love the ondeh ondeh, floral fusion and nut-earl-e(reminds me a little on ferrero rocher) flavor this year. Oreo was a tad too sweet for me but the kids love it! Would be good if we can choose a less sweet version next year and provide more gift boxes. Option to remove mould and reduce the cost would be good too as I don’t need the mould.

Thank you to all who have taken the time to review our kit. We have noted a few reviews regarding “missing box bases”.
We wanted to clarify the situation here:
As the boxes are tightly packed in the factory to be able to fit into the box, the bases may look like they are singular, but they are actually in pairs. There are no missing boxes, but they are indeed quite hard to identify or remove. With each kit, there is a flyer titled “Tips”, and we mentioned the tightness of the bases in the flyer.
In any case, we would like to sincerely apologise to anyone who has had trouble removing their mooncake gift boxes. We will look into different suppliers moving forward! We hope you enjoy your kits!
Not my first purchase from bakestarters. Love that it is very convenient and easy to follow. Minimal preparation and clean up which helps me to save a lot of time. Friends and family loves the bakes that we made.
I have been a huge fan of these mooncake sets for years and have always gotten it annually to make with a group of girlfriends. It is excellent for bonding over and telling each other off. We have great fun and bring back 2 sets each and consume one set together. (We are a group of 4)
Previously the mooncake mould had to be purchased separately so I was pleasantly surprised to find it in the kit this year. This year’s kit seems more manageable in comparison with yesteryears. They even gave a few individual mooncake boxes. But we prepared our own boxes and moulds.
There were a few discrepancies in the recipe card, probably because they condensed 4 mooncakes into one double sided A4 recipe card. Not too hard to figure it out, but I still prefer the individual cards when we could select the flavours. Easier to split up the workload.
All in, excellent job in churning out the kit. Looking forward to next year’s mooncake bootcamp.

This recipe is so easy to make with my kid.. As usual the video is easy to follow.. We had fun making this cake! Cant wait to attempt making the cake again..

First of all, I am impressed by how this course is structured — we’re not only learning how to make a cookie by following a recipe, but also the science behind cookie; how each ingredients in our cookie affects the end product. I think this course is great for the bakers who wants to really learn about cookie and learn how to tweak it to suits your taste! I definitely learned a lot from this course, hopefully there’ll be more course like this coming up soon!
Thoroughly enjoy the course. It’s refreshing and a world of difference from others. I get to understand the science or nuances of baking unlike most who just simply put out their recipes without detailed run-through of the various ingredients and its functions that go into the making of cookies.
