You’ve heard of double chocolate chip cookies; you’ve heard of triple chocolate chunk cookies, but have you heard of quadruple chip dessert bars?
For the very first month of The Bake Better Subscription, we’ve decided to make these ultra-decadent Chocolate Chip Cookie Cheesecake Bars.
This dessert features a creamy cheesecake layer sandwiched between two layers of chocolate chip cookie, then topped with a blend of duo chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and white chocolate chips.
If you love chocolate, cheesecake and cookies, this bake’s definitely up your alley. Don’t be daunted by its name, it’s actually pretty simple (and fun!) to make!
After you’ve made your cookie dough, press some of it into the bottom of the pan. Next, whip up your creamy cheesecake filling, pour it into the pan, then finish by crumbling the remaining cookie dough on top. To add the cherry on the cake, sprinkle all the different baking chips on top, and bake away!
To cater to local taste buds, we’ve tested the recipe multiple times and adjusted the sugar ratios to achieve the right taste, texture, and consistency.
After these babies have baked for 35-40 minutes in the oven, let them cool completely before chilling so as to allow the cheesecake filling to set. The wait is long, but boy is it worth it.
What we love most about these bars is sinking our teeth through the layers of soft and chewy chocolate chip cookie dough and creamy cheesecake filling.
Slice them into smaller squares if you’re thinking of sharing the love! Otherwise… you can finish the whole pan yourself, we won’t judge! ;)
