Incredibly rich, indulgent, and gooey on the inside, a dark chocolate terrine is almost like a baked Nama chocolate. It offers structure, and can be served both warm and cold, the key characteristic of a Terrine is its molten-like, custardy insides. We made this with coffee to balance out the flavours, and we can tell you it is one indulgent treat! This is a flourless treat, and relies on good quality ingredients to make it an amazingly, decadent treat. This kit comes with quality cream and Belgian dark chocolate.

A dark chocolate terrine relies on an undercooked center to achieve that creamy texture. Consuming raw or undercooked eggs may carry a risk of salmonella infection. Consuming raw or undercooked eggs is not advisable for young children, older adults, expectant mothers, and people with weakened immune systems.

Please make sure to take care!

Every one of our recipes was created to use medium-sized eggs, as that is easily found in the supermarket. To make sure your eggs are the right-sized, get eggs that weigh 55g with shell. To determine that, follow the steps below when buying your next carton:

  • Check the label for the total weight of all the eggs.
  • Take that number and divide it by the total number of eggs in the carton
  • The answer should be ~55g.

Example:

Carton of 10 eggs > Total weight = 550g > 550/10 = 55g
